Cubic Advisory Board Member Recognized on “New Year’s Honours List”


Leon Daniels honored as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire

SAN DIEGO – Jan. 23. 2019 – Cubic Corporation (NYSE:CUB) today announced that Leon Daniels, a member of Cubic Transportation Systems’ (CTS) strategic advisory board, was honored as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) on the 2019 “New Year Honours List.” Part of the British honors system, the “New Year Honours List” recognizes the outstanding achievements of people across the United Kingdom and demonstrates the breadth of service from people of all backgrounds. The titles are given out in the name of the reigning Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

“Leon’s world-class experience, expertise and thought leadership in public sector transport in the U.K. and around the world has made him a tremendous asset and invaluable resource for Cubic,” said Matt Cole, president, CTS. “We are very grateful to have Leon as part of our strategic advisory board and congratulate him on this distinguished honor.”

Daniels was honored for his commitment and service to Transport for London (TfL). Prior to his retirement from TfL in December 2017, Daniels was the managing direct

or of surface transport for the organization. He was responsible for the delivery of £3.5 billion of road, light rail and transport services and all major civil engineering infrastructure projects in London.

“I am delighted to receive this honor and do so by acknowledging the hard work of the high-performing teams I have had the pleasure of working with over the years,” said Daniels. “I am also delighted to serve on the advisory board for Cubic. Cubic is a global leader in an ever-changing world and I am incredibly excited about the future of transportation."

The OBE is awarded to individuals who have played significant roles in the business, public or nonprofit sectors locally and known nationally for their dedication to their work. More than 230 people have received the esteemed OBE level award for 2019.
